True North – Terms of Service

Welcome to True North (“we,” “our,” “us”). By booking or engaging in our services, you (“Client,” “You”) agree to the following Terms of Service. These terms are designed to protect both of us, ensure respectful interactions, and create a safe and supportive environment.

1. Nature of Services

• True North provides non-therapeutic companionship services, including video sessions, phone calls, and messaging check-ins.

• We are not therapists, medical providers, or crisis counselors. Services do not include medical, legal, psychological, or financial advice.

• These services are for personal enrichment, emotional support, and companionship only.

2. Eligibility

• Clients must be 18 years or older.

• Clients must have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

• Clients may not be under the influence of alcohol or illegal substances during sessions.

3. Boundaries

• Services are strictly platonic and non-sexual. Any request, suggestion, or behavior of a sexual nature will result in immediate termination of services without refund.

• No nudity, inappropriate exposure, or sexually explicit behavior is permitted during video or phone sessions.

• Sessions are designed to foster respect, kindness, and safe connection. Any harassment, abuse, or hostile behavior will lead to permanent termination.

4. Confidentiality

• Information shared during sessions will remain confidential, except as required by law (e.g., threats of harm to self or others, child or elder abuse, or criminal activity).

• Sessions may not be recorded, screenshotted, or redistributed by the client without written consent.

• Clients acknowledge that True North cannot guarantee complete privacy of electronic communications (due to third-party platforms).

5. Payments & Refunds

• Payments must be made in advance through approved payment platforms (Stripe, PayPal, etc.).

• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled.

• Refund Policy:

• Consultations: Non-refundable once completed.

• Packages: Refunds available if cancellation is requested at least 48 hours before the first scheduled session of the package.

• Individual sessions: Must be cancelled or rescheduled with 24 hours’ notice. No-shows or late cancellations are non-refundable.

6. Rescheduling & Cancellations

• Clients may reschedule with at least 24 hours’ notice.

• If True North must cancel, a reschedule or full refund will be provided.

• Frequent cancellations may result in termination of services.

7. Technology & Access

• Clients are responsible for ensuring a stable internet or phone connection.

• If a session is disrupted due to technical issues, a reasonable attempt will be made to reschedule.

8. Legal & Safety Disclaimers

• True North is not responsible for outcomes in clients’ personal, professional, or romantic lives.

• Services are not intended to replace professional therapy, medical treatment, or crisis intervention.

• In cases of suicidal ideation or immediate danger, clients must contact emergency services (e.g., 911) or the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (988 in the U.S.).

9. Termination of Services

• True North reserves the right to refuse or discontinue services at any time, including for violations of these terms.

• If services are terminated for client misconduct, no refunds will be issued.

• Clients may terminate services at any time, subject to refund and cancellation policies.

10. Liability

• By using these services, clients agree to hold True North harmless for any emotional, relational, or practical outcomes resulting from the companionship provided.

• Clients assume all risk associated with engaging in non-therapeutic companionship services.

11. Governing Law

• These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, United States. Any disputes shall be resolved under Idaho jurisdiction.

By booking or purchasing services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Service.
